		SpeedFerries wins Best European Crossing Operator Award Low cost ferry operator SpeedFerries has won the ‘Best European Crossing Operator’ award at the Telegraph Travel Awards. This award is based on extremely comprehensive independent research and features the biggest annual survey of the British travelling public. Following the successful opening of the Dover-Boulogne fast ferry service 19 May 2004, the average sales price on car tickets on the Dover Strait has reduced dramatically for the benefit of all travellers. SpeedFerries quickly realised that a low cost ferry service was not very popular within the industry, but strong support from loyal customers, especially during a difficult start up period has helped to achieve these low prices. SpeedFerries continues it’s commitment of offering cross channel prices at an acceptable level whilst providing a high quality, low cost ferry service.
